PERTHSHIRE WHISKY DISTILLERIES

Pitlochry is home to not one, but two distilleries, both of which walking distance from Craigatin House and Courtyard,

The Blair Athol Distillery

Established in 1798 right here in Pitlochry, producing the signature malt of the best selling Scotch in the UK, Bells Whiky. The easiest of all Highland Perthshire's distilleries to visit, as it is just off the main street running through the town

The Edradour Distillery.
Get up close and personal at Scotland's smallest distillery. Edradour Distillery occupies a lovely position above the town of Pitlochry, and is well worth a visit even as a stopping off point on one of Pitlochry's great network of walking paths. Styled as Scotland's smallest distillery, for those who enjoy whisky, this is a must visit distillery.

Added to these two Pitlochry Distilleries,  there are numerous other distilleries just a short drive away, these are:

Dalwhinnie Distillery
The highest distillery in Scotland is located at Dalwhinnie in Inverness-shire at an elevation of 1073 feet, just a few miles up the A9 road from Pitlochry. The little town lies midway between Perth and Inverness in a glen with the Monadhlaith Mountains on the one side, the Forest of Atholl, the Cairngorms and the Grampians to the other.

Dewars World of Whisky Aberfeldy
Aberfeldy Distillery is home to a selection of whiskies including; Dewar's White Label, Dewar's 12 year old, Dewar's 18 year old, Dewar's Signature, Aberfeldy 12 year old and Aberfeldy 21 year old. Dewar's Master Blenders have passed down skills for seven generations over the last 160 years.

Glenturret - Famous Grouse Whisky
The Glenturret Distillery is a hidden gem, set on the banks of the river Turret in the beautiful town of Crieff and only an hour from Pitlochry. Novices and whisky enthusiasts alike will enjoy the distillery tours, with a chance to see the Guinness World Record for the largest bottle of whisky!
